El Centro Family Health is seeking an experienced mid-level provider or physician to staff our 4 day a week clinic located in Chama, NM less than 10 miles south of the Colorado Border. Full spectrum outpatient family practice. Spanish language skills and ability to provide prenatal care a plus.
Provider who desires full time employment may work additional day at one of our other clinics.
Chama Area
Chama is located 80 miles north of Espanola, high in the Rocky Mountains of Northern New Mexico. Built in 1880 with little changed since, Chama is home to the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, the most spectacular example of steam era mountain railroading in North America. Chama is an oasis in New Mexico, as it is remarkably green, with water from melting snows high in the Rocky Mountains swells area creeks, rivers and two of New Mexico’s largest lakes, Heron and El Vado. This abundant water feeds an ancient network of acequias, irrigation canals first established by native peoples and later expanded by hardworking Hispanic farmers. Chama is surrounded by towering mountain peaks, scenic vistas and deep, colorful gorges and offers all forms of outdoor recreation at their finest here, with every season offering a new treat and challenge.
Services provided in El Centro Family Health's Chama clinic include Primary Medical Care, all standard medical procedures, Annual Physicals, Well Child, Immunizations. Equipped with a small pharmacy and lab. Approx 3100 patient visits per year.
