Wagon Mound Area
Wagon Mound is located 45 miles north of Las Vegas and is named after and located at the foot of a butte called Wagon Mound, which was a landmark for covered wagon trains and traders going up and down the Santa Fe Trail and is now Wagon Mound National Historic Landmark. There is a locally renown Labor Day weekend Bean Day event celebrating the harvest. Wagon Mound clinic primarily serves the surrounding ranching and farming community. Open 2 days weekly with services including primary care, small pharmacy and lab, and Medicaid enrollment services. Wagon Mound Clinic sees approx. 800 patient visits per year.
