Job Description ~
Family Practice MD
MD/DO – Physicians work in a group setting Family Medicine practice including pediatrics, teen health, adult medicine, VA, geriatrics, and nursing home. Presently no OB and no Call. Position is based at our hub clinic in Las Vegas, with 1-2 days per week at outlying clinics providing support to the practitioners who staff those clinics.
Some supervision of PA’s and FNP’s required and a willingness to teach/mentor a plus.
We offer collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Team approach includes telemedicine with UNM, diabetes education, dietician services, warfarin management, clinical pharmacist consultation, LISW counseling, and promotoras cross-trained for support in several areas including health education.
Approx. 35 hours of patient care weekly.
Travel time and vehicle provided for travel to rural clinics.
Spanish a strong plus as patient population includes some monolingual patients and many bilingual Hispanic New Mexicans.
Monthly provider breakfast meetings and 2-4 full day paid staff meetings yearly.
